Today...

6:-- a.m.
Woke up because I drank too much water the night before.

6:-- + x seconds a.m.
Saw my brother's room's light was still on, so proceeded to turn it off; he was still up--albeit in bed, cramming for his 9:00 a.m. calculus exam that day. I turned off his light: "If you don't know to to differentiate now, you never will."

9:30 a.m.
Woke up again; had to get ready to meet Nita at Eglinton to pick up our philosophy midterms and study for our exam being held later that day.
Peeked into my brother's room and saw that he was still under his bedcovers.
Lifted his blanket: "Hullo?"
Josh: "I know."
Put the blanket back over his head. Washed up, brushed teeth. I knew he'd sleep in. The dumbass.

9:50 a.m.
Went back to Josh's room.
"If I drive you now, you can get there by 10:30. You'll have an hour and a half to try to at least pass the course."
Josh: "I dunno if I can do well in just an hour and a half! What's the point?"
Me: "Well you can decide on the way there. Otherwise, you'll have to convince a doctor that you're sick."
Josh: " .. *sigh* .. "

10:00 - 10:15 a.m.
We drove North along Bayview well above the speed limit.
Josh: "I don't think I'll pass anyway. I couldn't study that much."

10:15 - 10:40 a.m.
Back home.
Josh and I rehearsed his lines for the doctor we were about to scam.

11:30 a.m.
Got to U of T to meet Nita, explained why I was late.
Ate.

12:00 p.m.
Operation: Get Doctor's Note was starting.
Sent a text message to Josh: "GL".

3:00 p.m.
Called Josh.
Josh: "I'm still waiting." (Not surprised. We chose a walk-in clinic.)

4:30 p.m.
Josh: "I need $15 to pay for the note. But they said I can come back tomorrow with the money to get it."

5:00 p.m.
Got feedback on my project's final report from supervisor. He pointed out a bunch of embarassing style booboos. But got an A. Woot.

6:00 p.m.
Attempted to study for final remaining hour before the philosophy exam.
Instead, was trying to rub off the doodle gratuitously drawn on my white eraser by someone--in pen (THANKS).

7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Philosophy exam.

9:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Was still in the examination hall, glancing sideways from my desk at Nita, waiting for her to finish. (For ONCE, I was done before her. Heh heh.) To keep me entertained, I was whiting out random errors on my test, trying to make it neater, only to make it blotchier.

11:00 p.m.
Got home.

We North Americans take pride in our high numbers of people who can read and write, but what of the numbers of those who can handwrite?

Handwriting is Irrelevant
